AirSprint Private Aviation is proud to announce its participation in the 2024 Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer, which will take place from July 20-21 in Strathmore, Alberta. This amazing initiative reflects AirSprint’s ongoing dedication to supporting its community.
This weekend, cyclists from all over the province will gather at the starting line of Alberta's biggest cycling fundraiser, the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer, which supports life-changing cancer research and care. The ride is in support of the most courageous Albertans who have shown their strength through a cancer experience.
AirSprint believes in staying connected with the communities we work and live in by supporting local organizations that focus on enhancing the lives of individuals within these communities, such as the Alberta Cancer Foundation. “Riding a bike for nearly 200 km on a hot Alberta weekend is not an easy feat,” says Mike Vandermark, Director of Safety of Quality, who is joining the Team AirSprint for the first time. “…However, everyone in the team knows that these challenges are minimal compared to hardships faced by those battling cancer.” By continuing to support the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer, we can help make a difference.
Last year, on its 15th-anniversary ride, Tour Alberta teams helped raise over $5.7 million dollars for Albertans facing cancer. “This year, with over 1,600 registered cyclists the Tour will have reached the $100 million raised in 16 years. We know that it takes a village to make a real impact, so we are grateful for every rider, donor, and partner, including Team AirSprint, who continues to dedicate their time and resources to making a difference for over 23,000 Albertans who will hear the words, 'You have cancer,' this year alone." says Alexandria Pearce, Manager of Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer.
AirSprint is excited for this year’s 12-cyclist team, which includes a mix of experienced and first-time riders ready to put their best pedal forward in the collective battle against cancer. Team AirSprint's fundraising efforts help the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer get one step closer to reaching its $6 million 2024 fundraising goal. All donations from the tour will go towards the Alberta Cancer Foundation supporting local cancer research, including ground-breaking clinical trials, enhanced patient support programs, and all 17 cancer centres across Alberta.
