Where the rugged cliffs of Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula meet the shimmering waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, you’ll find the town of Gaspé—a place where history and natural wonders coexist. Known as the "Cradle of French America," Gaspé holds a special place in Canadian history as the landing site of Jacques Cartier in 1534. Today, this coastal gem invites visitors to explore its blend of cultural heritage, breathtaking scenery, and a peaceful maritime charm that’s distinctly its own.
Nature enthusiasts will find Forillon National Park particularly enchanting. This protected area boasts diverse ecosystems, including dense forests, striking sea cliffs, and serene beaches. The park’s extensive trail network caters to hikers of all levels, offering routes that lead to panoramic viewpoints and secluded coves. Wildlife sightings are common, with opportunities to observe seals, seabirds, and even whales along the coastline. For a glimpse into the region’s past, the Musée de la Gaspésie presents exhibits detailing the area’s maritime history and Indigenous cultures. The Site d’Interprétation Micmac de Gespeg provides an immersive experience into the Mi’kmaq way of life, featuring a reconstructed traditional village and knowledgeable guides sharing ancestral stories. Additionally, the Promenade Jacques Cartier offers a scenic waterfront boardwalk, perfect for leisurely strolls while absorbing the town’s rich history and coastal charm.
The Gaspé Cathedral (Cathédrale du Christ-Roi / Christ the King Cathedral) is a landmark deeply tied to the town’s cultural and spiritual roots. One of the few wooden cathedrals in North America, it features distinctive architecture and stunning stained-glass windows. This iconic structure not only serves as a spiritual space but also reflects the town’s historical resilience and enduring community spirit.
Gaspé invites exploration at every turn, from its scenic coastline and trails to its vibrant cultural sites. Whether you’re hiking along dramatic cliffs or learning about its Indigenous and maritime heritage, the town promises a rewarding journey through history and nature. A visit to Gaspé is a chance to experience Quebec’s coastal beauty at its finest.

What is positioning and repositioning?
Positioning or repositioning typically occurs when an aircraft must travel empty to pick-up passengers at another location or return to its homebase after completing a passenger drop-off. These flights are commonly known as Empty Legs. At AirSprint, our Fractional Owners never pay more for the positioning or repositioning flights required to complete their mission—they only pay for their time on-board. In contrast, with other operators in Canada, a client requesting a pick-up will be responsible for covering the associated costs of positioning an aircraft to their location.
