Private Jet Departures / Arrivals in Inuvik
Private Jet Travel to / from Inuvik, Northwest Territories
Inuvik, meaning "Place of People" in Inuvialuktun, is a unique community located above the Arctic Circle in Canada's Northwest Territories. Established in the 1950s as a new administrative center, it has evolved into a vibrant town that celebrates its Indigenous heritage, artistic expression, and Arctic environment. Visitors are invited to experience the rich tapestry of cultures, natural beauty, and innovative spirit that define Inuvik.
A must-see is the Great Northern Arts Festival, held annually in July since 1989. This ten-day event showcases the talents of artists from across Canada's North and beyond, featuring workshops, demonstrations, and cultural performances that highlight the region's diverse artistic traditions. For a glimpse into local spirituality and architecture, Our Lady of Victory Church, affectionately known as the "Igloo Church," stands as an iconic structure reflecting the community's resilience and faith. Nature enthusiasts can explore the Mackenzie River, Canada's longest river, which flows past Inuvik into the Beaufort Sea. In winter, the river transforms into an ice road, offering unique travel experiences to nearby communities. Additionally, the Inuvik Community Greenhouse, converted from a former hockey arena, operates as North America's northernmost commercial greenhouse, utilizing 24-hour summer sunlight to cultivate a variety of plants and providing insight into local agricultural practices.
As the northernmost point of Canada’s Dempster Highway, Inuvik serves as a gateway to Arctic exploration. This legendary highway stretches over 700 kilometres from the Yukon, crossing rugged tundra and vast river valleys before reaching its terminus in Inuvik. Travellers can experience breathtaking views, spot wildlife such as caribou and muskoxen, and witness the dramatic seasonal changes that shape life in the North. In the winter months, the highway extends even farther via an ice road leading to the remote community of Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean.
Inuvik is a place where community spirit and cultural heritage thrive against the backdrop of the Arctic’s vast landscapes. From connecting with Indigenous traditions to witnessing the beauty of its northern wilderness, visitors are offered a truly enriching experience. A visit to Inuvik reveals the strength and stories of a town that has flourished under the midnight sun and the northern lights.

What is positioning and repositioning?
Positioning or repositioning typically occurs when an aircraft must travel empty to pick-up passengers at another location or return to its homebase after completing a passenger drop-off. These flights are commonly known as Empty Legs. At AirSprint, our Fractional Owners never pay more for the positioning or repositioning flights required to complete their mission—they only pay for their time on-board. In contrast, with other operators in Canada, a client requesting a pick-up will be responsible for covering the associated costs of positioning an aircraft to their location.
